Greek Coins

Greek coins are some of the oldest coins you can get to collect. Starting in the 7th Century BC during the Archaic Greek Period, coins began to spread and become the medium of trade in many areas. Greek coins are often prized for their artistic features, often times including animals both real and mythical as well as portaits of rulers and depictions of stories or heros.

Greek Coins are generally divied into three periods: Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic.
