Theres no fictional character more beloved and enticing than James Bond. The suave, rugged, and charismatic agent works as a British spy with MI6 and is known by his code number, 007. 2020 brings with it the 25th installment in the feature film franchise that has been delighting fans since 1962 when the first film was released.

British author Ian Fleming came up with the concept of a British secret agent traveling the globe to thwart secret plots against the Western world in 1953. Fleming initially wrote a total of 12 Bond novels and two short-story collections before his death. A decade after his first novel was released, Fleming authorized the production of feature films with the Bond figure with Eon Productions producing the vast majority of films.

Sean Connery is still remembered today as the iconic image of Bond on the big screen. Connery portrayed Bond in the first five films in the 1960s, and returned two more times to play the leading role in 1971 and again in 1983 in one of only two films not produced by Eon Productions. Daniel Craig will portray James Bond for the fifth time when 2020s No Time To Die.
