The long-awaited limited edition collectible, the Silverback, is finally here. The Silverback is the newest addition to Goldback Inc. Silver aficionados have been asking for quite some time for the creation of the Silverback. It took some time, but they made it happen. One little-known piece of information is that the Silverback has been years in the making. The development of the technology of the Silverback was a two-year-long production process. The main problem creators continued to confront was dealing with tarnish.

Anyone who has bought silver in the past knows the trouble of tarnish. There is no more frustrating thing than whipping out your silver to show off to friends and family and finding it off-colored and red. Even more embarrassing would be if you went far too long and your silver had all but disintegrated from oxidation! For those reasons, the Gp;dback had to work extra hard to figure out ways to combat the incessant tarnishing without pedantic polishing.

Here’s what they came up with: (Without giving up too many trade secrets). First, they deposit the silver, atom by atom, using vacuum deposition technology (like the Goldback). Next, they coat the silver using a complex, propriety recipe to disallow tarnishing. Then, they seal the silver between layers of patented polymer. This polymer keeps the silver from reacting directly with the oxygen in the atmosphere, thus preventing oxidation. Finally, you can forget polishing, cleaning, and airtight storage. This Silverback will always maintain its illuminative luster!

Now besides popular demand, why did they do it? The answer is simple; they may be on board with all those silver-hungry people who believe the price is just waiting to explode one day. As prices continue to go up, and as Gold continues to become more and more expensive, the Silverback will allow a medium of exchange that will be small enough to be useable. Let’s face it, inflation is astronomical, and it’s only getting worse. As money loses more of its value, precious metals will become increasingly popular to use and trade! As this occurs, suddenly, the Silverback will become immensely useful.

Additionally, why the name and the artwork? Silverback was made to honor the precious metals influencer “Silver Dragons.” As such, the drawing depicts a giant dragon stretching its claws over a horde of silver. 10,000 Silverbacks were used as a giveaway product by Bullion Max. A total of 100,000 Silverbacks were produced, and a limited number of just 1,000 were released as a collector's purple edition grade by PMG.
