Roman Empire 306-340 A.D.

In the early to mid-third century A.D., the Roman Empire saw many changes in leadership. A large number of emperors was in part due to Diocletian's proclamation to divide the empire into two sections to best rule the people.

The Roman Empire was unsettled during the period, with many emperors seeking the portion of the territory their counterparts controlled. The latter part of Constantin the Great's rule was an exception, as he controlled the entire empire from 324 until his death in 337
