The History of Chevrolet:
Chevrolet began as an experimental car shop in Detroit, which gradually expanded throughout the decades until World War II. Many the manufacturing facilities and assembly plants were converted to military or postwar production in order to meet demand, with many more on the way.
Louis Chevrolet, a well-known automobile driver, was hired by William C. Durant, the founder of Buick Motors Corporation, to create a vehicle that individuals could buy in 1909. In 1911, the Chevrolet Motor Company of Michigan was founded and began producing vehicles the following year. In 1912, "Chevrolet Motor Company" was changed to "Chevrolet." It went through several expansions as the vehicle's popularity increased, culminating in it becoming a part of General Motors in 1918.
From 1931 until 1941, Chevrolet was the world's top auto brand. From 1927 until 1931, Chevrolet sold more than a million automobiles every year.
Chevrolet had a significant impact on the American automobile industry throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

Chevrolet’s 1969 Camaro SS
The iconic 1969 Camaro was released in response to Chevrolet’s rival, Ford, releasing an updated and restyled 1969 Mustang, even though a 1970 edition of the car was slated. Initially launched in 1967, Chevrolet’s pony car spiked in popularity with its more toned 1969 redesign. It grew 1½ inches longer and nearly 2 inches wider. In addition, GM's designers flattened its wheel wells, added character lines, and stamped fake vents in its quarter panels.
Two more headlamp and grille modifications were added to the lineup: the regular (non-Rally Sport) grille was a deeply vee'd eggcrate affair with silver bezels for the headlights, while the optional RS treatment featured a smaller black grille flanked by headlamps hidden behind body-colored doors. When the windshield was washed, headlamp washers sprayed into the horizontal holes in the vacuum-operated door.
For the year 1969, Chevrolet produced 243,085 Camaros. Surprisingly, six-cylinder-powered convertibles are the rarest models, with 1,707 built; V-8-powered sports coupes were the most plentiful bodies at 190,971 vehicles. Many people still consider the 1969 edition to be the best-looking Camaro ever, and the one-year-only body style later influenced the designs of the fifth and sixth-generation Camaro.
