To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Disney’s Fantasia, which premiered in 1940, this officially licensed, 1oz silver coin showcases a scene from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment of the film.
In this scene, Mickey Mouse, having fallen asleep, dreams about conducting the stars. Both colour and engraving have been used along with some nice relief for Mickey standing upon his rock, which shines out in silver. A smattering of the stars have been left in silver to shine too.
The coin sits snugly inside the story book-style packaging. Artwork taken from the film’s delightful posters adorn the packaging inside and out to complement the coin.
