Possibly the most powerful wizard of all time, Albus Dumbledore is the first character featured in the New Zealand Mint Harry Potter Classic Coin Collection.
His capabilities as a wizard were combined with his extraordinary intellect and extremely cunning mind. Dumbledore also had a deep capacity for love, he believed in the good in everyone and insisted on giving second chances where they were due.
These finely engraved coins show a close-up of this kind and powerful wizard with his wand in hand. Having a larger diameter, the image on the 1oz coins also incorporates Dumbledore’s fiercely loyal Phoenix, Fawkes. The legal tender status of the coin is confirmed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II effigy on the obverse side.
The coin arrives in a Harry Potter themed box which shows the coloured image of the one engraved on the coin. Inside the box a sturdy wooden coin case, ideal for display, holds the coin itself along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
