The celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Justice League concludes with the last pure silver coin in this one-off collection for The Flash.
Three men have held the title of "The Fastest Man Alive"—Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West. The mysterious power known as the Speed Force is an energy field that has, over the centuries, granted incredible powers of velocity to certain heroes. Ever since the days of World War II, there has been a man clad in red who can run at impossible speeds, using his power to save lives and defend those who cannot defend themselves. All between the ticks of a second.
Officially licensed by DC Comics, the coin shows two images of The Flash at full speed alongside his logo. The background uses a contrast of mirrored and frosted finish to add to the dramatic design. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the year 2020 – denoting 60 years exactly since the formation of the Justice League. It is packaged in a magnetised acrylic block for protection and ease of display.
The mintage has been set at 1,960 to reflect the year that the Justice League was formed. A Certificate of Authenticity confirms it as a limited-edition coin with a unique serial number. Together with The Flash themed box it makes this an all-round fabulous collectible.
