Composed of .999 fine silver with small amount of coloration. With hallowed memory of The Great War, the Cook Islands Remembrance Poppy was produced in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the end of that terrible conflict. It is with the events of the war, especially the churning of the soil in those Belgian fields that allowed those hidden poppies to start to grow. Those sacred grounds where the poppies grew that inspired John McCrae.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place, and in the sky, The larks, still bravely singing, fly, Scarce heard amid the guns below.
