Strong doubling is evident on the date, LIBERTY, and IN GOD WE TRUST. This is actually a Large Date Over Small Date. This was long considered a typical Class VI doubled die. In the late 1990s, eagle-eyed Mike Ellis realized (correctly) this was a doubled die created by the use of a small-dated hub and then a large-dated hub.
