1999 Statehood Quarters

In 1999, the United States Mint embarked on an ambitious initiative known as the 50 State Quarters Program. This 10-year program was designed to honor each of the 50 states in the order they ratified the Constitution or were admitted into the Union. Five new quarters were issued each year, each featuring a unique design on the reverse related to the respective state. The 1999 series marked the beginning of this program, setting the tone for the next nine years. The first five designs honored Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut. These coins, also known as Statehood quarters, are a significant part of U.S. numismatic history, offering a unique way to explore the country's diverse heritage and history
