Egyptian Faience Ushabti

Third Intermediate Period

ca. 1567-1085 B.C.

This small ushabti has remains of it's original blue-green glaze on the back of the figure, the front surface has lost most of it's original glaze but retains some of the original applied black details. At some point a small piece of acrylic was applied to the bottom of the ushabti's feet, presumably to make the footing level and allow for it to stand upright without a support.
