2022 Niue $2 - Star Wars: Han Solo in Carbonite - NZM (1oz Silver)

Due to popular demand, the New Zealand Mint is excited to reveal not one, but two, rectangular bars featuring a full-length Han Solo frozen in carbonite! Previous Han Solo coins have been a sell-out success, so they were eager to deliver an impressive new coin for Star Wars fans.

Although both coins are beautifully engraved to show this greatest hero of the Rebellion in the gut-wrenching scene from the 1980 movie Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, at 80mm it is the large 3oz silver coin that probably impresses most and it comes with a supersized box to match! Officially licensed and legal tender, on the obverse of each coin you will find the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Lucasfilm copyright. Both coins also have an antique finish to enhance the detail.
