Queen Anne's Revenge Ship is believed to be built in the early years of the 18th century for mere merchant purposes. The ship was later captured by pirate Blackbeard. The ship enabled the famous Blackbeard to amass incredible riches and treasures, which he hid them masterfully that even his fellow crew members could not find. The vessel is believed to be used by Blackbeard between 1717-1718.
A private firm discovered the remains of the Queen Anne’s Revenge vessel in 1996. Due to its historic importance, the ship was added to the US National Register of Historic Places.
